Description of the museum
BUILDING ENTRANCE
The entrance hosts two libraries, which contain books from Drosinis' personal library on various topics, and the Nea Estia series, at the time when its publisher was Grigorios Xenopoulos, as well as some issues that refer to the Poet to this day.
At the entrance there is an exact copy of the oil painting by Georgios Roilos, on the theme: "THE POETS". The original of which is in the office of the "PARNASSOS" Mansion. A large photograph of Drosinis and other smaller ones, at different ages, are placed on the left, right, but also watercolors inspired by Drosinis' poems generally adorn the walls. Inside a glass-enclosed old and very beautiful table display case, the model of the Poet’s head, crafted by his daughter Angeliki, dominates.
At the entrance there is an ornate marble rotating column, which supports the head of a girl L’ Arrongante, -the unacceptable- the work of the French sculptor Alexandre Falguière (1831-1900). The marble head belonged to the Drosini family and adorned the Amaryllis villa, when the Drosinis lived there.
Going up the wooden staircase, one finds oneself on the first and only floor, which is divided into three sections according to the corresponding rooms.
